On July 23, the China Building Materials Federation organized a kick-off meeting for the preparation of national vocational skills standards and a seminar on vocational skills evaluation in the building materials industry, officially launching the preparation of ten national vocational standards including "Glass Batching Melting and Chemical Industry", and discussed the building materials industry. In-depth exchanges and discussions were conducted on the preparation of professional standards and vocational skills evaluation work. 

Zhang Dongzhuang, Vice President of China Building Materials Federation, and Li Ke, Director of Occupational Classification and Standards Development Division of China Employment Training Technical Guidance Center attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Zhang Dongzhuang said that the construction of vocational skilled talents is an important support for the modern building materials industry system. It is necessary to take the establishment of national vocational skill standards as a breakthrough point, closely combine the training and evaluation of skilled talents with the main line of green, low-carbon, safe and high-quality development of the industry, and closely combine it with the urgent needs of industry skilled talents brought about by the double-carbon strategy and scientific and technological progress. The drafting units of national vocational skill standards in building materials industry include China Architectural Glass and Industrial Glass Association, China Stone Association, China Cement Association, China Building Waterproofing Association, China Heat Insulation and Energy Saving Materials Association, China Aerated Concrete Association, China Lime Association, China Sand and Gravel Association, China Building Decoration Materials Association, Zhejiang Building Materials Industry Association, Hebei Building Materials Industry Association, More than 40 industry representatives, including Gypsum Branch and Ready-mixed Mortar Branch of China Building Materials Federation, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zeng Qingdong, deputy secretary-general of the Federation and director of member service department.
